Duct Cleaning

Our service technician will hook up a large vacume hose from the power vac truck to the heating system. He will either remove your motor/blower assembly or bypass the furnace depending on access and the make and model of the furnace.

Your technician now starts the Power Vac Truck, which produces 16,000 CFM (cubic feet per minute) @21 inches static pressure (the amount of lift). This places your ductwork under extreme suction. The on board compressor provides 200 psi compressed air continuously, which is used in the cleaning process.

Your technician then cuts access holes and/or 1" or 2" plugs where necessary for proper cleaning and inspection. This step allows him to see that the ductwork is now completely clean.
NOTE: The number and size of access openings will depend upon the type of furnace or air conditioning coil and upon the design of your air distribution system (air duct system). Access openings are re-usable for future inspection and cleaning.

POWER BRUSHING - With your system under suction our technician will BRUSH the inside walls, tops and bottoms of your ducts, loosening the caked-on dirt and dust.

FORWARD SKIPPER- After your ducts have been BRUSHED, your technician will use a "forward skipper" which snakes its way from your register to the main line discharging 200 psi of compressed air in a 360-degree pattern. This ensures that even the smallest dust particles are removed from the duct and out to the Power Vac Truck.

Your return air grills are then removed (to prevent damage to the fins) and the crossover type dust work is cleaned using the forward skipper forcing the dust all the way to the mainline.

POWER BRUSHING MAIN LINES - After the vents have been cleaned your technician will Power Brush all the main lines including the hot and cold air plenums.

Now that the dust and debris is loosened the lines are cleaned with a reverse skipper discharging high-pressure air in 360-degree pattern back towards the vacuum.
